Currently, the Chowchilla Elementary School District offers fingerprinting free of charge to those parents wishing to help out in the classroom or to assist on school-sponsored field trips.
The procedure for parents wishing to volunteer is as follows:
- Parents must fill out the necessary paperwork at the Chowchilla Elementary School District office located at 355 North 5th Street, Chowchilla during workweek hours.
- Once your paperwork is completed, an appointment will be made by the District Office with our County Schools’ Office in Madera for you to be fingerprinted by live scan. You will be required to have a TB test clearance certificate, which we will need to have on file. A TB test clearance certificate can either be obtained from your personal physician at your own expense or can be done by the County Health Department in Madera free of charge.
- It is important that you allow ample time for fingerprint processing, as there could be delays for unknown reasons from the Department of Justice. We recommend a three-week turn-around time to allow for such delays.
